First things first. I love going to flea – and antique markets. But, to be honest, I don’t get up at 5 am when on vacation just to get a great bargain. Back at home I go to flea markets really early, as I would recommend everybody else. But on vacation I love to stroll & just do my research on new trends. When in Amsterdam, I usually start my tour at the Waterlooplein flea market. This flea market is open from Monday till Saturday until 5:30pm, the products are not overpriced & it is surrounded by nice cafes and shops. The Vintage shop ‘Episode‘ is here and it is my favorite, because they sell shorts made of recycled leather. Not far away there is another cute little vintage store called ‘Retro et Chic 1953′. Here are a few images from my trip last Monday:

If you are not with the car, you can’t buy that many things anyway. The next time I go with a car, I promise to check out more vintage furniture stores…

I love vintage shopping as well! The extra thrill of hunting down that perfect piece and bargaining it down to the perfect price is so much fun 🙂
Oh, I know! What fascinates me most about vintage, is the quality! The pieces are up to 200, 100, 50, 40, 30, 20 years old & still in such a good shape. Nowadays you buy something & it’s broken after a year of using. With vintage you get a unique piece nobody else has! And by the end of the day, what is a leather belt without patina?

Fee, auch ich hab Schaufenster Vintageshopping gemacht, da ich 1: viel zu viele Ledershorts von Episode besitze, 2: selber 400 Vintage Taschen besitze & 3: für einen anderen Laden zurückhalten musste, über den ich bald schreiben werde 🙂
